Make a construction paper garland chain. You probably enjoyed this as a kid and so will your family!
String popcorn and cranberries into a thread as another type of garland. This is especially good to put on the trees outside. Don’t forget that birds get hungry around Christmas time.
Using paint, markers, rubber stamps or rubber stamps make homemade wrapping paper on brown or white craft paper. You can even use grocery bags.
Buy or gather pine cones. Roll them in peanut butter and then roll them in birdseed. Attach a string to them and hang on the trees for the birds to eat during the cold weather. Even very young children can be involved in this fun craft.
Decorate a paper plate like Santa! Make a cotton ball beard and paper eyes. You can also color the eyes with felt tip pens or crayons. Glue on wiggle eyes if you have some. Make Santa’s nose a red circle. Top it off with a construction paper hat complete with a cotton ball brim and ball on the tip of hat.
