The Truth About Santa Claus

Well, this is the truth about Santa Claus.  Ask anyone, especially postman Special Delivery Kluger.  You see, one day a tiny baby was left on the door step of Burgermeister Meisterburger.  Well, Burgermeister Meisterburger didn't like babies at all.  In fact, The Burgermeister ordered his guards to take the baby away.  The guard was pulling the baby through the forest on a sled when the rope broke sending the sled zooming out of control down the mountainside.  Straight into the home of the Kringle family.  Well, the Kringle family, who once had been the first toy makers to the King,  took the baby in as one of their own.  They called him Kris Kringle because  the meaning of KRISTKINDL is Christ Child.  That, after all, is what Christmas is all about.  So, you see my friends, that is how Kris Kringle got into the toy business in the first place.

Now, Burgermeister Meisterburger was a very grouchy man.  The day that he tripped on a toy and hurt his leg he outlawed toys in Sombertown.  The children of Sombertown were very sad.  What would life be like with no toys?  Kris Kringle began dropping off toys that his family had made to the children of Sombertown.  This, of course, infuriated The Burgermeister.  Kris Kringle had to pass through the Land of the Winter Warlock in order to get to Sombertown.  Talk about grouchy?  The Winter Warlock was a very mean and bitter man.  Kris Kringle knew that there was good in the heart of all men.  When he gave The Winter Warlock a gift of a toy train it warmed The Winter Warlock's heart.  So much, in fact, that The Winter Warlock became a close friend of the Kringle family.

Now, along the way, Kris Kringle met a beautiful young lady named Jessica.  They were married and now she is known as Mrs. Claus.  How is it that Kris Kringle became Santa Claus?  The Burgermeister Meisterburger couldn't stop Kris Kringle from bringing toys to the children of Sombertown.  You see, he threw them all in jail!  Luckily enough, Winter had some magig corn that made the reindeer fly.  The reindeer flew them over the walls of the jail and off to freedom.  The Burgermeister was very upset about this.  So, he made Kris Kringle Public Enemy Number One!  In order to continue to do good, Kris Kringle decided to change his name.  When he came to live with the Kringle family he was wearing a tag that said "Claus".  This is how he became known as Santa Claus.  Soon, Santa Claus was delivering the toys that the Kringle family made all over the world.  Santa Claus was very busy trying to keep up with delivering toys in different parts of the world every few days.  He decided to deliver toys only one time a year.  That would be Christmas Eve, in case you haven't been paying attention.

Yes, it's a wonderful story with a great ending.  It's also a story that doesn't have to end.  That is why we should always try to give more than we receive.
